There are so many ways to make a woman disappear.

You can kill her, beat her down, silence her, tell her she isn’t a ‘real woman’, erase her story, make her change her name, create an entire system that depends on her labour but does not acknowledge it…

Disappearing Women is a piece of devised political theatre that works with communities of women who are not visible and creates a space where their stories can be told. We use physical theatre, verbatim techniques and scripting to create a compelling narrative that asks: What has the world lost by this disappearance?
